History of ancient philology: the most important thing to teach in two semesters. The main textbook is the History of China Ancient Philology edited by Sun Qinshan, which consists of two volumes. Two thick books are also the most important reference books for postgraduate entrance examination.
Philology: the outline of teacher Qiu Xigui's philology
Phonology: A Course of Phonology, written by Tang Zuofan and other Peking University teachers.
(The above two courses are more difficult, and the proportion in the exam seems to be small. )
Exegetics: Exegetics by Hong Cheng and Interpretation of Ancient Books by Dong (this teacher is our major).
Textbooks: There are no ready-made textbooks. Generally, we can read Cao Zhi's Textbook of China Ancient Books, Li Zhizhong's Introduction to Ancient Books Edition and other old gentleman's books, as well as Proofreading published two years ago, which are also good reference books.
Bibliography: Gao's Bibliography and the Origin and Development of China's Ancient Academics (our professional teacher) should also read books such as Zhong Yaomingda's Bibliography History of China.
Collating: Ni Qixin's collating outline.
Philosophy should be based on solving problems: there is no fixed textbook, which is roughly an introduction to China's ancient philosophical classics.
Solving problems with literary texts: Jin Kaicheng's detailed explanation of literary texts of past dynasties
To solve the problem through historical materials, please refer to Zhang Chuanxi's A Concise Course of China Historical Documents and Zhang Shunhui's An Interpretation of China's Historical Masterpieces.
Introduction to Ancient Books Arrangement: For professional enlightenment courses, please refer to Introduction to Ancient Books Arrangement recently reprinted by Mr. Huang Yonggao.
How to Use Chinese Reference Books: A Tutorial of Chinese Reference Books by Zhu Tianjun and Li Guoxin.
China Ancient Culture: Yin Falu's History of China Ancient Culture
Ancient Chinese: Both Wang Li's and Guo Xiliang's textbooks are acceptable.
Modern Chinese: Modern Chinese compiled by Modern Chinese Teaching and Research Section of Chinese Department of Peking University.
Ancient History of China: It also accounts for a large proportion in the exam, and the textbook is generally Jane Bozan's Ancient History of China.
History of Ancient Chinese Literature: The History of China Literature, a textbook of Peking University, or the History of Ancient Chinese Literature newly edited by Yuan Xingpei.
