First, behind the fanaticism is impetuousness.
The initiator of the upsurge of college students' entrepreneurship was the "Entrepreneurship Plan Competition" in Tsinghua University in May, 1998, which brought together 1 14 entrepreneurial plans from "geniuses" from Tsinghua, Peking University and Renmin University. At that time, the "Business Plan Competition" was hailed as "Bill Gates' Incubation Plan", which was hyped by major media for a time, and also aroused the entrepreneurial ideals of countless college students, thus setting off an entrepreneurial craze among college students across the country. 1in March, 1999, the first national college students' business plan competition sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League was launched vigorously. 1At the end of 999, the first "Tang Yi Cup MBA Business Plan Competition" was held in Shanghai, where many universities gathered. At the beginning of 2000, the Ministry of Education announced that college students and graduate students could drop out of school and keep their status to start high-tech enterprises, which undoubtedly contributed to the surging entrepreneurial upsurge of college students.
(1) Simplify entrepreneurship. Students have almost reached the point where everyone wants to start a business. At that time, the situation in Tsinghua University was "when I met two people, one of them would say that he wanted to start a business". Students generally don't realize the difficulty of venture capital and the pressure of venture risk, but they have high expectations for entrepreneurship and feel that as long as they start a business, they will succeed.
(2) Chasing the Internet bubble. In the business plan competition held by all parties, most of the participants are website business plans. The most prominent thing is that in the "Zhangjiang Cup" business plan competition held in Shanghai, more than 90% of the business plans collected in the first phase were actually website business plans, because students thought it was "convenient and quick to get money".
Second, show rationality after setbacks.
Marked by the sharp decline of Nasdaq index in April 2000, China college students' entrepreneurship also slipped into a trough. After that, after failure, frustration, self-adjustment of giving up and persistence, and the baptism of big waves, students' entrepreneurial psychology gradually matured, and their entrepreneurship also entered a stable and healthy rational period.
(A) entrepreneurial passion remains the same. This kind of passion is not an irrational passion at the beginning, but a passion produced after calm observation and thinking, and it is a mature passion. At the end of 2000, the second "Challenge Cup" China College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition received 462 works submitted by 32 college students from 24 provinces in China. Experts believe that "this fully reflects the strong sense of innovation of contemporary college students and their desire and confidence in starting a business". A survey of 540 undergraduates in Shanghai universities by East China Normal University shows that 77.6% of them have entrepreneurial intentions. In the past two years, more than 2,000 college graduates in Liaoning Province have started their own businesses. It seems that the entrepreneurial passion of college students has not subsided because of the severe winter.
(b) enhanced entrepreneurial rationality. According to the investigation of Zhaopin's recruitment of college students. Com, and 65% of them consider starting a business after the age of 30. 2 1% people think that they have to work at least 1 to 2 years before they can start a business after graduating from college; 9% people think that entrepreneurship is too risky and should be cautious; Another 4% said they didn't think clearly, and 1% said they wouldn't consider starting a business anyway. This shows that although most people are ready to start a business, they have a clear understanding of the timing and risks of starting a business.
Third, it is more mature in guidance.
It is a very valuable change for college students' entrepreneurial psychology to change from impetuous to rational, which we must cherish and protect. Because college students' entrepreneurship can't be judged as a hero by temporary success or failure, but should be analyzed and treated with dialectical development. Failure today may mean greater success tomorrow. It can be said that Silicon Valley in the United States grew up with Stanford University, student start-up companies and American venture capital companies. Without the student entrepreneurs in the garage, there would be no world-renowned high-tech companies such as Hewlett-Packard Company, Apple Company and Intel Company, no world-class Stanford University today, and no mythical Silicon Valley today. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every university to correctly guide college students' entrepreneurial psychology.
(A) to guide students to correctly understand the meaning of entrepreneurship. The first is to guide students to fully understand the profound meaning of entrepreneurship. It is necessary for college students to understand that entrepreneurship is neither a hot-headed "going into the sea" nor an ordinary professional competition or scientific research design. Its essence is to require students to combine their own professional expertise, develop their own innovative achievements according to market prospects and social needs, and turn research achievements into products, create considerable economic benefits, and change from knowledge owners to entrepreneurs who create value and contribute to society. Entrepreneurship is a spirit, a consciousness and a quality. Entrepreneurship is not an individual behavior, but cooperation and example; Entrepreneurship is not for self-interest, but for selflessness; Entrepreneurs are staunch patriots, enthusiastic practitioners and hard-working doers.
(B) to guide students to have psychological endurance for setbacks. A large number of facts show that many students are ambitious at the beginning of their business, often in the process of implementation, because they encounter setbacks of one kind or another, difficulties of one kind or another, and finally get discouraged. In the increasingly fierce market competition, the success of college students' entrepreneurship depends not only on whether they have strong entrepreneurial awareness, skilled professional skills and excellent management skills, but also on their ability to face setbacks, get rid of difficulties and surmount difficulties to a greater extent.
Fourth, conclusion.
Rational entrepreneurial psychology is the foundation of college students' entrepreneurial success, and schools should guide them to make their entrepreneurial psychology more mature. We have reason to believe that in the near future, on the stage of social entrepreneurship, there will really be a batch of entrepreneurial heroes of college students, and the legendary stories of college students' entrepreneurship will spread.
