Qinghai University for Nationalities is located in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, a national civilized city. Established in 1949 and 12. It is the earliest university in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, one of the earliest universities for nationalities in New China, and one of the first units in China to award master's degrees. The school has formed a complete education system of undergraduate education, postgraduate education, international education, adult education and vocational education. Qinghai Normal University and Xining Railway Driver School merged in 2002 and 2005 respectively. The school has gone through the training course for young cadres in Qinghai Province, Qinghai People's College, Qinghai Ethnic College and Qinghai Institute for Nationalities, and was renamed Qinghai University for Nationalities in April 2009.
