"Universities directly under the Ministry of Education" refers to universities directly managed by the Ministry of Education in China and is an important part of universities directly under the central government. At present, there are 75 universities directly under the Ministry of Education in China.

1 Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Huazhong University of Science and Technology, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a vice-ministerial university directly under the Central Government. Ranked among the first batch of "Double First Class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 project" in China, and was selected as "1/project".

2.Tongji University

Tongji University is one of the earliest national universities in China and a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established with Shanghai. 3. Southwest University

Southwest University traces its roots to East Sichuan Normal School, which was established in 1906. It is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing Municipality. It is the first batch of institutions that receive scholarships for international students from "world-class discipline construction universities", the national "21Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" and the China Municipal Government.
