The foreign universities in the 4+0 Sino-foreign cooperation project of Jimei University are all regular universities approved by the Ministry of Education, and the cooperation with Jimei University has also undergone strict review and signed a cooperation agreement.

The cooperative education project between Jimei University and Cook University was approved by the State Council Academic Degree Office in June 2003. It is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education project in Fujian Province approved by the State Council Academic Degree Office, and the only unplanned independent enrollment Sino-foreign cooperative education project approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2007, the project passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education, and in 20 14, it passed the evaluation of the Chinese-foreign cooperative education project of the Ministry of Education. In 20 17, the project was approved by the Ministry of Education to extend the validity of the school.
