Traditional Chinese Medicine (Qihuangban)
Educational system: five-year undergraduate course combined with four-year direct study (limited to science students)
Training objective: To cultivate clinical elites of Chinese medicine who master systematic knowledge of Chinese medicine, classical theories of Chinese medicine, basic knowledge of western medicine, clinical thinking methods and skills of Chinese medicine, and engage in medical treatment and prevention of Chinese medicine.
Training requirements:
(1) Master the systematic and profound basic theory of TCM, master the classics of TCM, and effectively guide the clinic;
(2) Master the clinical thinking method of TCM in this discipline and the systematic and comprehensive clinical operation skills of Chinese and Western medicine;
(3) have the clinical ability to use the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and common knowledge of western medicine to deal with common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases, acute, dangerous, difficult and severe diseases in this field; After the standardized training of residents, their clinical ability reached the working level of attending doctors when they graduated;
(4) Have the basic clinical research ability of traditional Chinese medicine.
Main courses: basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine, prescription of traditional Chinese medicine, Neijing, synopsis of the golden chamber, treatise on febrile diseases, various theories of traditional Chinese medicine, normal human anatomy, histology, biology, physiology, pathology, medical immunology and microbiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine, surgery of traditional Chinese medicine, gynecology of traditional Chinese medicine, pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine and dermatology of traditional Chinese medicine.
Training characteristics: this major is a combination of undergraduate education and doctoral direct education. The first five years are cultivated according to the undergraduate teaching plan, and at the end of the fourth year, the school conducts a diversion assessment. Those who pass the examination will be awarded a bachelor's degree in medicine and a doctorate in clinical medicine when they meet the training requirements. Those who fail the exam will be diverted and continue to be trained according to the five-year teaching plan. Those who reach a bachelor's degree upon graduation will be awarded a bachelor's degree in medicine. In order to achieve the training goal and innovate the education mode, the school will be divided into two stages: undergraduate and postgraduate, and at the beginning of enrollment, each student will be equipped with famous professors as tutors to provide one-on-one learning and clinical guidance. The first five years are treated as undergraduates and the last four as postgraduates.
