Xi 'an Jiaotong University, referred to as "Xi Jiaotong University", is located in the ancient capital Xi. It is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Established by the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Ministry of Education, it was selected into the national "Seventh Five-Year Plan".
