Baotou teachers college, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, is a public full-time undergraduate college sponsored by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Baotou Municipal People's Government.
It is the construction unit of "Digital Campus Benchmark School" in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform at the autonomous region level, a training base for social sports instructors in Inner Mongolia, a national vocational qualification training base for sports industry in Inner Mongolia, a training base for coaches and referees of Inner Mongolia Football Association, and a demonstration business incubation base in Baotou City.
Baotou teachers college, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, was approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2000 and was formed by the merger of the former baotou teachers college, baotou teachers college and Baotou Education Colleges. The original name of baotou teachers college was "baotou teachers college", which was founded on 1958, closed on 1963, resumed on197/kloc-0, and changed its name to "baotou teachers college" on 1996.
The former Baotou Normal School was founded in 1947. The former Baotou Institute of Education was founded in 1978. In 2003, baotou teachers college merged with Baotou Institute of Iron and Steel and Baotou Medical College to form Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology. At the end of 2004, the school resumed its independent legal personality.
