The research direction of communication engineering is as follows:
Direction 1: Circuit and system
The discipline of circuits and systems studies the theory, analysis, testing, design and physical realization of circuits and systems. It is the bridge between information and communication engineering and electronic science and technology, and also the theoretical and technical basis for the research and development of signal and information processing, communication, control, computer, electric power, electronics and other disciplines.
Due to the strong support of the circuit and system discipline, it has become a reality to realize complex and high-performance information communication networks and systems by using modern electronic science and technology and new components.
With the rapid development of information and communication industry and the rapid increase of microelectronic device integration scale, electronic circuits and systems are developing in the direction of digitalization, integration and multi-dimension. The theory of circuit and system is gradually moving from classic to modern, and at the same time, it is intersected with information and communication engineering, computer science and technology, bioelectronics and other disciplines, forming a series of marginal and intersecting disciplines.
Direction 2: electronics and communication engineering.
Electronics and communication engineering involves two first-class disciplines: information and communication system and electronic science and technology, and six two disciplines's: communication and information system, signal and information processing, circuit and system, electromagnetic field and microwave technology, physical electronics and optoelectronics, microelectronics and solid-state electronics.
The research contents include information transmission, information exchange, information processing, signal detection, integrated circuit design and manufacture, electronic components, microwave and antenna, instrumentation technology, computer engineering and application. The rapid development of electronic technology and microelectronics technology has brought fundamental and universal influence to the new technological revolution. With the continuous progress of electronic technology, very large scale integrated circuits and computers have appeared, realizing modern communication.
Electronic technology is evolving to photonic technology, and microelectronics integration is extending to photonic integration. The combination and development of photonic technology and electronic technology is pushing communication to develop rapidly in the direction of all-optical communication, and the increasingly close combination and development of communication and computer is building a brand-new network society and digital age.
Employment direction
If people are asked to choose the technology that has developed rapidly in the past 20 years, I am afraid it is communication technology. With the continuous combination of communication and various new technologies, it involves more and more fields, such as telecommunications, networks, home appliances, finance, medical care, aviation, industry and so on. At present, there are two main types of employment for communication majors, one is software and the other is hardware.
Software such as software development, network design, application software compilation, etc. In terms of hardware, I mainly go to companies such as electronic communication equipment.
