The School of Art and Design of Shandong University of Science and Technology has four teaching departments: Art Design Department, Industrial Design Department, Advertising Design Department and Music Department. The college has four undergraduate majors: art design, industrial design, advertising (design) and musicology, with 900 students.

The college was established in 2008. The four teaching departments in the college are separated from other colleges in the school, which are from three colleges: Civil Architecture College (Art Design Department), Mechanical and Electronic Engineering College (Industrial Design Department) and Grammar College (Advertising and Musicology).
