Generally speaking, the administrative levels of colleges and universities are divided into three categories:
1, deputy ministerial level
There are 32 colleges and universities in Chinese mainland, all of which have deputy ministerial level. In addition to the 985 colleges and universities, there is also the National University of Defense Technology at the deputy military level.
2. Bureau level
Except for 32 deputy ministerial-level colleges and universities in China, all other undergraduate colleges and universities belong to this level, including 7 non-deputy ministerial-level 985 colleges and universities, all 2 1 1 schools, and all one hospital and two hospitals. Among them, the secretaries and presidents of universities directly under the central government are appointed and announced by the Ministry of Education.
3. Deputy bureau level
Junior college is a deputy bureau level. The presidents and party secretaries of all public universities, vocational colleges and vocational and technical colleges in China belong to the level of deputy departments and bureaus. For example, Henan Normal University, anyang normal College and Anyang Institute of Technology are all provincial universities, which belong to the departmental level, and most of them belong to the deputy departmental level.
Independent colleges with the nature of public aid generally have the vice-departmental level as the principal.
