Maritime museum, China is the largest and highest-level comprehensive maritime museum in China, with an indoor exhibition area of 2 1000 square meters. The exhibition area in the museum is divided into three floors. On the first floor, there are the Museum of Maritime History, the Museum of Ships, the Museum of Seamen, and a special fishing boat and fishing exhibition area. On the second floor, there are a navigation and port pavilion, a maritime and maritime safety pavilion, a military navigation pavilion and a special exhibition area for marine sports and leisure. The museum also has a planetarium, a 4D cinema and a children's activity center.
China Maritime Museum takes "navigation" as its main line and "natural history" as its foundation. According to the category, it is divided into five branches and twelve exhibition areas, with spherical planetarium, cinema and academic lecture hall. The museum displays through physical objects, physical simulation, pictures, words, multimedia and other means. The main functions of the design are: cultural relics collection function, academic research function, social education function, display function, and other functions of the navigation simulator in the seaman's hall.
In 2007, the Ministry of Communications of China and National Cultural Heritage Administration jointly issued a document, and the Shanghai Municipal Government also issued a government order to mobilize and encourage all units and all sectors of society to support the collection of cultural relics in the China Maritime Museum. With the unremitting efforts of cultural relics collectors, the museum has gradually developed from collecting only a few physical cultural relics every month to collecting hundreds of physical cultural relics every month, and the number of collections has rapidly increased to more than 20,000, in addition to collecting 50,000 charts and 20,000 books. Among the more than 2,300 exhibits exhibited in the first batch, there are thousands of years of wooden paddles, bronzes and ship models, as well as hundreds of years of maps, charts, navigation instruments, rudders and other "treasures of the town" that witness China's navigation history and navigation technology.
China maritime museum received strong support and donations from all walks of life during the preparatory process. There are 89 donors and individuals on the donation list, including 47 donors, including PLA Navy, Nanjing Museum in Jiangsu Province, East China Sea Fleet Command of PLA Navy, Shanghai Navigation Society, Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Shipping Exchange, Shanghai Shipyard Shipping Co., Ltd. and Yangtze River Waterway Bureau. 42 individuals were donated, including Xu Bomin, Zhu, Cao, Li Fuheng, Xu Qinglong, Yang Hongwu, Zhang, LULU, Song Fuchun, Guo and Shan Mingzhe.
