Guo Hong entered South China Normal University as a postdoctoral fellow after graduating from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 1995. When this postdoctoral fellow left the station at the end of June 1997, he was promoted to professor by South China Normal University for his outstanding performance in scientific research. 1997 to 2003, vice president of School of Information Optoelectronic Technology, South China Normal University, director of transmission optics laboratory, professor and doctoral supervisor. Guo Hong was introduced to the Key Laboratory of Quantum Information and Measurement of the Ministry of Education of Peking University Institute of Information Science and Technology in 2003 because of his outstanding achievements in scientific research and teaching and the urgent need for the development of Peking University.
