Computer science and technology is a provincial key discipline in Gansu Province, and it is the authorization point of master's degree. It has the National Computer Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center and the National Traffic Information Innovative Talents Training Experimental Zone. Strong professional teachers, in 2009 was awarded the national, computer software technology basic course teaching team.

This major trains applied senior computer professionals who have mastered the basic theories and knowledge of computer science and technology and obtained basic training for engineers.
