Chen Ping, 1944, originally from Chongqing, was born in Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province. China economist, theoretical physicist, physicist who claims to study economic problems; Senior Research Fellow of China Research Institute, Adjunct Professor of School of Economics of Fudan University, Adjunct Professor of Peking University School of Economics, Research Fellow of Spring and Autumn Comprehensive Development Strategy Institute, Research Fellow of China Development Model Research Center of Fudan University, Foreign Research Fellow of Capitalism and Society Research Center of Columbia University, Visiting Scientist of Quantum Complex System Center of University of Texas at Austin, USA.

Chen Ping 1962 graduated from the five-year experimental class of Shanghai Gezhi Middle School; 1974- 1979, intern researcher at Hefei Institute of Plasma Physics, China Academy of Sciences; 1987, received a doctorate in physics from the University of Texas at Austin. Associate Professor of Peking University Institute of Management Science from 1988 to1996; 1996-20 13 professor and doctoral supervisor of China Center for Economic Research, Peking University; In 2004, he served as a senior researcher and director of the academic Committee of the Center for New Political Economy of Fudan University.
