How about South China Agricultural University?
When it comes to the Republic of China, a lotus pond with moonlight may come to mind, or a wandering girl with an oil-paper umbrella, or a teenager with a golden moon. During this period, literary masters emerged one after another, and so did architectural masters.

Lv Yanzhi, known as the "founder of modern architecture" in China, is a representative of the integration of eastern and western architectural technology and art in modern architecture in China, which has had a far-reaching influence in the field of architecture. The Republic of China Architecture Group on the campus of South China Agricultural University came from him.

During the period of 1924, three universities in Guangdong merged into National Guangdong University (later renamed National Sun Yat-sen University), and its agricultural college was the predecessor of South China Agricultural University. Zou Lu, former president of Guangdong Normal University, was entrusted with the important task of being the first president.

At that time, President Zou built the New Shipai Campus of National Sun Yat-sen University and hired talented architects from Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing to design it. South China Agricultural University inherited 70% of the land of Shipai campus, and its buildings No.2, No.3 and School History Museum (No.5) were all left over from Shipai campus, which is also the best preserved building of the Republic of China in Guangdong.

The former National Sun Yat-sen University campus was designed as a bell-shaped structure, and the Agricultural College was located right above the bell-shaped layout, with prominent positions, namely the Chemistry Museum and the Agricultural College. The two pavilions are bounded by a circular lawn, with two sides separated and symmetrical. Now it is Building 2 and Building 3 of South China Agricultural University, which serve as the courtyard building of the School of Electronic Engineering and the preparatory office of South China Agricultural Museum respectively.

The Agriculture and Forestry Chemistry Museum of Agricultural College is now Building 2 of South China Agricultural University. Founded in 23 years of the Republic of China, it covers an area of 10 12 square meters. Under the eaves of this building, there is a palace painting with green and yellow as the main colors, which forms a strange shape with the eaves columns. There are ivory railings on the second and third floors of the balcony, and the watchtower is decorated with embossed auspicious clouds, which is antique.

At that time, the Agricultural College of Agricultural College was now Building 3 of South China Agricultural University, which was built in the 20th year of the Republic of China. The roof is the roof of the palace, with a green glazed tile roof and faucets at both ends. The most special thing is that there are vermilion railings on the edge of the eaves gallery, and the doorposts are decorated with embossed gourds and peaches.

The School History Museum (Building 5), which was built in 23 years of the Republic of China and covers an area of 4,494 square meters, is surrounded by more than ten towering white trees. It is a palace-style building that combines Chinese and western styles. The whole building is magnificent and elegant. It is concave and divided into the main building and the lining building. In front of the main building, there is also a porch on the roof, and the front door has Chairman Mao's title "South China Agricultural College".

On the roof of the main building, there is a green double faucet and a glass ridge. There are lions, sheep, beasts, Kirin and Peng on the vertical ridge, and there are gods riding horses in front. The eaves have green glazed tiles and wishful dripping water, and the eaves are decorated with palace paintings with red and blue as the main colors.

From the details, whether it is the main building, the lining building or the roof of the front porch, the decoration is exquisite, and the reliefs on the railings on both sides of the front porch and the colorful paintings under the eaves are also classical. Now Building No.5 has become the signature building of South China Agricultural University, where the school history museum and the memorial hall of the first president, Mr. Ding Ying, are located.

South China Agricultural University's Shifang Bell Pavilion and Lion Head Fountain are elegant and stylish, with stories everywhere, glazed tiles, dripping water and auspicious clouds. Only by being in this building complex can you feel the beauty and shock of a period and a style. I wonder if there are any aspiring candidates?
