China Academic Digital Union Library
The Sino-American Digital Academic Library (China Academic Digital Library for short) is an international cooperation project supported by the China administration, the Library of Congress and the United States Department of Education. The goal of this project is to promote academic exchanges and teaching research in higher education between China and the United States, and to provide support for the construction and development of digital libraries.
CADAL project is mainly devoted to the construction of digital library and information sharing. The project aims to build a digital library platform across China and the United States, collect and enjoy excellent world cultural heritage and academic resources, and promote information sharing and academic exchanges between Chinese and American higher education institutions.
The main objectives and tasks of the CADAL project include the following aspects:
1. Digitize and store the library resources of China and the United States through digital technology, realize the digitalization of resources and information sharing, and promote the exchange and cooperation of higher education between the two countries.
2. By cooperating to build and maintain the digital library platform and providing open access, educators, scholars and researchers can obtain convenient and efficient information services and more comprehensive and in-depth knowledge and academic resources.
3. Promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of Sino-US relations by enhancing cultural understanding, academic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
