1. Undergraduate graduates go abroad to study

Among the 20 12 120 undergraduate graduates, 19 students, including Huang Siyuan, have received admission notices from overseas universities and will go to Cambridge University, Duke University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Pittsburgh, University College London and other top international universities for further study in September this year. The rate of studying abroad after graduation is 15.8%.

Step 2 send graduate students

By the end of 20 12, 22 doctoral students have been sent in the past four years, accounting for 18% of the total registered doctoral students. Sources of funds: 52% from the government, 24% from internal tutors and 24% from foreign tutors. Schools sent are: McGill University in Canada, University of Pittsburgh, National Institutes of Health, University of Mississippi, University of Georgia, National University of Singapore, etc.

3. Teachers' visits and exchanges

By the end of 20 12, 93 faculty members had gone abroad. There are 37 teachers who have studied abroad for more than one year, accounting for 57% of the total number of teachers. Visiting schools and research institutions include Cambridge University, Yale University, Nottingham University, Purdue University, National Institutes of Health, University of North Carolina, etc. The nature of the visit includes cooperative research, participation in international academic conferences, further training, participation in competitions, and visits.

1. "The lecture hall of pharmaceutical frontier in the 10th anniversary celebration series of School of Pharmacy"

In recent years, our hospital * * * invited 130 overseas and internationally renowned experts to give 140 high-level academic reports on "pharmaceutical frontier lecture hall". Specially invited experts include Nobel Prize winner Dr. roger kornberg and his research team, as well as professors from top international universities such as the University of Toronto, McGill University, Nottingham University, Cambridge University, University of Tokyo, University of Pittsburgh and University of North Carolina. Senior technicians from authoritative research institutions such as the National Institutes of Health, the US Food and Drug Administration and the State Patent Office; Company technical director from large multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and Novartis.

2. The Dean, Vice President and Center Director of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Pittsburgh visited our hospital and held the Pittsburgh-Sun Yat-sen University School of Pharmacy Teacher-Student Friendship Association.

3. Professor Fred Nyberg, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Uppsala University, Sweden, came to our hospital to inspect scientific research, industrial cooperation and personnel training.

Florian Wurm, a professor at the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, visited our institute to discuss cooperation in scientific research and industrialization.

Three. International cooperation in scientific research

In the past three years, our institute has undertaken more than 25 international (overseas) cooperation and exchange projects. The accumulated funds are more than 40 million yuan, and the cooperative institutions are all top foreign universities such as the University of Sydney, McGill University and Rome University. Many Chinese and British scholars witnessed the signing ceremony.
