Hebei Medical University, located in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, is a provincial-level backbone university with a hundred-year history and excellent medical education tradition. It is an engineering university of basic capacity building in the central and western universities and a pilot university of "excellent doctoral education and training plan".

The predecessor of Hebei Medical University was 1894 Beiyang Medical Hall approved by the Qing government. 1995 in may, the former Hebei medical college, Hebei college of traditional Chinese medicine (resumed independent establishment in April 20 13) and Shijiazhuang medical college merged to form a new Hebei medical university. In 2005, it was rated as excellent in the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level by the Ministry of Education.

As of June, 20 18, the school has two campuses, five hospitals, 14 secondary colleges and 18 undergraduate majors, including 4 national specialty and 4 provincial specialty. Full-time students 1 1807.
