Brief introduction of graduate school of Northwest University

According to the memorabilia of Northwest University, the earliest expression of "graduate student" began at 1909 (Xuantongyuan year) when Shaanxi Law and Politics School was affiliated to Shaanxi Autonomous Research Institute. The earliest postgraduate enrollment began with 1938. 1939 The Nationalities College of Northwest Union University enrolled postgraduate students in the Department of Primary Education and Communication of the Education Department. After the founding of New China, graduate students were enrolled from 1956 to 1966 * * 57 graduate students enrolled in 18 major and 18 research direction.

1978 After the country resumed postgraduate enrollment, the school was one of the first universities in China to recruit postgraduate students, and it has the right to award doctoral and master's degrees. Employees have been authorized to apply for doctoral and master's degrees with the same academic ability as graduate students, and they have been recommended to study for master's degrees by taking separate examinations without examination, forming a multi-level, multi-type and relatively complete degree and graduate education system. With the approval of the Education Department in September, 20 1 1 became the first Shaanxi provincial university to establish a graduate school.
