Linyi University is a regional university, formerly Linyi Teachers College, which mainly recruits students from Linyi area, a small number of students from Shandong province (except Linyi area) and a very small number of students from other provinces.

Later, RTVU, College of Education and Technical School merged and transformed into Linyi University. The enrollment expansion should be much higher than before.
