Beijing Institute of Technology Liangxiang Campus is located in the east of Liangxiang Satellite City, Fangshan District, Beijing, about 30 kilometers away from Tiananmen Square and about 35 kilometers away from the headquarters, bordering Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and expressway, Shi Jing in the east, and within the Sixth Ring Road in the southwest of Beijing, covering an area of 202.97 hectares (more than 3,000 mu).

Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology is a newly-built campus according to the spirit of the Agreement between the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Key Construction of Beijing Institute of Technology on September 23, 2000. It is an organic part of Beijing Institute of Technology, an active and effective expansion of the headquarters, and an inseparable part of the headquarters. It is one of the key construction projects in the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" and "Eleventh Five-Year Plan". His construction has laid a solid foundation for the strategic development of the school and the realization of medium and long-term development. Liangxiang Campus focuses on undergraduate education in advance, and gradually develops postgraduate education in science, economics and management grammar, interdisciplinary new disciplines and related disciplines, becoming one of the important development bases for national defense scientific research, scientific and technological achievements incubation and high-tech industries.

The planned construction scale of Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology is 30,000 students, with a construction land area of 202.97 hectares, a construction land area of 164.36 hectares and a construction area of 950 1 10,000 square meters, with a total construction investment of about 4.3 billion yuan. After the completion of the campus, 16 college, a large-scale science park and four science and technology centers will be established. The campus will also build 7 experimental centers, 9 comprehensive experimental bases, 5 cultural quality education bases and centers, and build 1 large gymnasium, 2 swimming pools, 4 sports playgrounds, several basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, badminton courts and other facilities to serve students' life, sports and leisure, culture and entertainment.

On February 20th, 2002, 65438 held a groundbreaking ceremony in Liangxiang Campus of our school. Party and government leaders from the Ministry of Education, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Beijing Municipal Government and Fangshan District Government attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The leaders of the Ministry of Education, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Beijing Municipal Government laid the foundation stone together with Jiao Wenjun, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, and Kuang Jingming, president of our school.

The main points of Beijing Institute of Technology's work in 2006 mentioned that the guiding ideology of school work in 2006 is: adhere to the overall situation of school reform and development with Scientific Outlook on Development, conscientiously implement the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third, Fourth and Fifth Plenary Sessions of the 16th National Congress, and implement the work requirements of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. Beijing and the Ministry of Education closely focus on the goal of building a high-level research university, speed up the construction of Liangxiang campus and headquarters, and enhance the ability of independent innovation. Promote the reform of system and mechanism, improve the quality of education and teaching and academic level, focus on building a harmonious socialist school, strive to achieve rapid and sound development of the school, and make a good start for the smooth implementation of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.

The main points of the first task are: insisting that development is the first priority of running a school, planning the future and accelerating development. It is necessary to accurately grasp the development situation of the school, accelerate strategic thinking and macro thinking, and make good plans for the future; Take the construction of Liangxiang campus as a breakthrough, speed up capital construction and focus on solving the shortage of school resources; Integrate resources, highlight key points, and do a good job in the construction of major projects such as "985 Project", special areas and innovation platform bases.

The construction of Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology has completed the compilation and approval of the Master Plan and Construction Scheme, and started construction at the end of 2005. It is planned to complete the main construction of Liangxiang Campus during the 11th Five-Year Plan period. This indicates that the construction of Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology will be rapidly and comprehensively launched, which has opened a new page in the construction of Beijing Institute of Technology and is about to usher in a new glory of the school!
