Civil Aviation University of China is an institution of higher learning directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which mainly trains senior civil aviation engineering and management talents. It is a university jointly established by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Tianjin Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Education. It is the second batch of "excellent engineer education and training plan" universities of the Ministry of Education, and a high-level characteristic university in Tianjin.
By April 2020, the school had 82 flight teaching and training aircraft, 22 aircraft for maintenance and practice, 3-D full-motion flight simulators, 208 other training simulators and 60 aircraft engines.
