City College of Wuhan University was formed from the combination of architecture, urban planning, graphics and other majors of Wuhan University, Wuhan University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping in June 5438+February 2000. In 2003, the school successively adjusted the majors of industrial design and art design from other departments to the School of Urban Design, forming a complete design system in which planning, architectural design, industrial design and art design complement each other.

The School of Urban Design now has five research and teaching units, including urban planning department, architecture department, design department, engineering and computer graphics center and experiment center, as well as other research and teaching auxiliary units such as party and government offices and reference rooms. The college has four undergraduate programs, eight master programs and one doctoral program. The four undergraduate majors are urban planning, architecture, industrial design and art design, among which urban planning and design is a key discipline in Hubei Province and a "2 1 1 project" construction project.

The school of urban design of Wuhan University is located in the second district (engineering), which is the old house water. The second district and the headquarters are actually connected.
