Tuition fees of Lanzhou University in 2023: the tuition fees for general majors are 5,000 yuan, 5,500 yuan, 5,800 yuan and 6,200 yuan/school year respectively; the tuition fees for arts majors are 9,000 yuan/school year; the tuition fees for computer science and technology (data science direction) in Sino-foreign cooperative education projects are 65,000 yuan/school year; the tuition fees for visual communication design (Sino-foreign cooperative education) and environmental design (Sino-foreign cooperative education). Accommodation: 1200 yuan/school year.

Lanzhou University is a national key university directly under People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education, and is jointly established by the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1909, and its predecessor was Gansu Law and Politics School established during the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty. 1928 extended to Lanzhou Sun Yat-sen University; 1946 was named National Lanzhou University. 1952 was identified as one of the four comprehensive universities in China.
