Changchun Guanghua College, formerly known as Guanghua College of Changchun University, was founded in 2000. In 2004, it was first recognized as an independent college at the undergraduate level by the Ministry of Education. In 20 13, it was transformed into an independent private undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education. 20 15 was named as the pilot university of Jilin Province's overall transformation into an application-oriented undergraduate college, and 20 17 was identified as the professional master's degree project construction unit by the Education Department of Jilin Province.
