According to the opinions, the Ministry of Education will strengthen the support and guidance for Lanzhou University of Technology in teaching, scientific research, discipline construction, teaching staff construction, international cooperation in running schools, party building and ideological and political work. Support the construction of featured and advantageous disciplines, key laboratories and collaborative innovation centers; Support schools to carry out learning and information exchange with universities directly under the Ministry of Education; Give policy support to postgraduate enrollment, undergraduate exemption plan and national public study abroad plan.

The National Defense Science and Technology Bureau will support Lanzhou University of Technology to build a discipline with national defense characteristics and train military talents with special needs; Support schools to build key laboratories of national defense disciplines and undertake military scientific research projects; Support schools to cooperate with enterprises and institutions of national defense science, technology and industry in personnel training, scientific research and scientific and technological services, and promote collaborative innovation in Industry-University-Research.
