Shanxi Medical University is the third batch of authorized units of doctor's degree in Shanxi Province, the first batch of authorized units of master's degree, the first batch of authorized units of bachelor's degree in China, the first batch of pilot units of the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, one of the 25 medical colleges offering seven-year clinical medicine in China, one of the first eight medical colleges in China to resume pediatric undergraduate specialty, and one of the universities supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China.
