There is only one College of Historical and Cultural Tourism in Wangcheng Campus of Guangxi Normal University, and its majors are: ancient history of China, modern history of China, historical philology, historical theory and history, specialized history, ancient and medieval history of the world, modern and contemporary history of the world, regional and ethnic history of the world, tourism management and cultural industry management. Guangxi Normal University, referred to as Guangxi Normal University for short, was founded in 1932 and located in Guilin, Guangxi. It is a comprehensive provincial key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Guangxi People's Government. It is a demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, a Chinese education base for the Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of the Central United Front Work Department, and a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. Formerly known as Guangxi Normal University, now known as 1983.

The school has successively been selected into the National Training Plan of the Ministry of Education, the Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities, the Excellent Teacher Training Plan, the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan, the National Postgraduate Program of Building a High-level University, Guangxi First-class Discipline Construction University, the National College Students' Cultural Quality Education Base, Jingjiang Wangcheng Scenic Area, a national 5A-level tourist attraction, and the earliest cultural and educational center in Guangxi history.
