Self-enrollment (referred to as single enrollment) is a selection and admission mechanism for the Ministry of Education to further improve the higher vocational education system with China characteristics and the diversification of higher education. Before the college entrance examination, higher vocational colleges will organize the proposition, examination and marking, determine the minimum admission control score line, determine the admission list, and report it directly to the Provincial Education Examinations Institute for approval and filing. Candidates who take the independent entrance examination enjoy the same treatment as those who take the college entrance examination.
The scope of students should be mainly ordinary high school graduates in the provinces and regions where they are located, and some secondary vocational graduates can also be recruited on a pilot basis; Individual enrollment plans are included in the total number of enrollment plans approved by each school, and unfinished plans are transferred to the national unified enrollment examination for ordinary colleges and universities.
