Chuzhou Vocational and Technical College was established with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's Government in June 2000 and formally established in July 2002. The college is formed by the merger of six technical secondary schools: Chuzhou Technical School, Chuzhou Architectural Engineering School, Chuzhou Grain Adult Technical Secondary School, Chuzhou Finance and Taxation Cadre School, Chuzhou Commercial Cadre School and Chuzhou Supply and Marketing Cadre School.

The college covers an area of 1 0,000 mu and has a building area of10.6 million square meters. There are more than 240,000 books, and there are more than 260 teachers with middle and senior titles, among which "double-qualified" teachers account for 40% and 77 15 students.
