Domestic universities that offer postgraduate enrollment in safety engineering are: capital university of economics and business, Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical Technology, North China University of Science and Technology, Northeastern University, Jiangsu University, Xi Institute of Science and Technology, Southern Metallurgical Institute, Xi University of Architecture and Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology, China Geo University, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Gansu University of Technology, Dalian Railway Institute, harbin university of science and technology, Nanjing University of Technology, Jiangsu Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, China University of Mining and Technology, Liaoning Engineering and Technology.

In 2004, a total of 68 universities across the country offered undergraduate safety engineering majors, which were filed with the Ministry of Education, most of which were newly opened. In the past four years, 40 universities have applied for safety engineering, more than the total before 2000, and the growth rate is extremely fast.
