1948, founded Songshan Ballet and Songshan Ballet School with Matsuyama Mikiko.
He wrote and performed ballets, such as White-haired Girl, Gion Songri and Rainbow Bridge. Later, he wrote Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker, Datura, Cinderella, Swan Lake and so on.
Since 1957 first visited China, he has performed in China 100 times. During this period, he was received by Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou, Zhu De, Chen Yi, He Long, Li Xiannian, Guo Moruo, Liao Chengzhi and other party and state leaders. In particular, Premier Zhou gave a lot of guidance, hoping to promote Japan-China friendship through ballet.
At present, he is the head of Songshan Ballet, the chairman of Songshan Ballet, a visiting professor in Peking University, a visiting professor at Essence University, the vice president of the national headquarters of Japan-China Friendship Association, a consultant of Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association, the vice president of Tokyo Japan-China Friendship Association, the director of a consortium Japan-China Friendship Club, and the vice president of Japanese Wushu Tai Ji Chuan Alliance.

Mr Shimizu Masao died of multiple organ failure at 6: 27pm on June 25th, 2008, at the age of 87.
