Jiujiang Vocational College 1985 is a public full-time municipal higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education. In April 2006, Jiujiang Normal School and Jiujiang Vocational College merged and reorganized. Jiujiang Normal School, founded in 1902, originated from Lianxi Academy founded by Zhou Dunyi, a neo-philosopher in Song and Ming Dynasties. It has a history of 100 years.
The school has trained a large number of outstanding alumni. In March 2009, Jiangxi Lushan Tourism Technical Secondary School was placed under Jiujiang Vocational College as a whole, and in June 20 15, Jiujiang Technical School was placed under Jiujiang Vocational College as a whole. At present, Jiujiang Vocational College has become a comprehensive provincial-level demonstration vocational college that enrolls four-year undergraduate courses (pilot classes), three-year junior high schools and five-year junior high schools.
