College began to recruit graduate students from 1978, which is one of the earliest institutions in China to recruit graduate students majoring in mathematics. Our college has trained a large number of graduate students, many of whom have a high reputation in mathematics and related fields at home and abroad.

In 2006, our college obtained the authorization point of master's degree in mathematics. Since 2007, two disciplines of mathematics (including basic mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, operational research and cybernetics) have all enrolled graduate students.

At present, doctoral supervisors include Professor Du Xianneng, Professor Jiang Wei, Professor Hu Shuhe, Professor Fan Yizheng, Professor Wang, Chen, Wu, Professor Dong, Professor Pan Xiangfeng and Professor Zhang Congjun.
