Xinjiang College of Russian Politics and Law, the predecessor of Xinjiang University, was founded in 1924. The library of Xinjiang University, the predecessor of Xinjiang Russian College of Law and Politics, had only more than 1,000 books at the beginning of its establishment, and its address was in Beiliang Academy Lane, Dihua, adjacent to No.1 Middle School of the province. 1935, Xinjiang University was established and the library was slightly expanded. Shen Yanbing, a famous writer, came to teach at Xinjiang University. Accompanied by Du Zhongyuan, then president, he visited the library of Xinjiang University. 1942 ——1944 Tuozhi, a famous scholar, is the director of educational affairs and the librarian of Xinjiang University. 1960, Xinjiang University was founded and the library of Xinjiang University was officially listed. The construction and development of Xinjiang University Library has always been attached importance by the party and state leaders. Dong, Hu Yaobang, Zhu De, Zhou Peiyuan, Li Lanqing, Wang Enmao, Sapidin and other central leading comrades visited the museum successively to guide the work.
