The total information storage capacity of the library has reached 12.3TB, more than 600 information points have been built, and the speed of information transmission to the desktop has all reached 100 trillion. The book management and business work have been computerized, and the proportion of digital resources has exceeded 30%. The construction of "three modernizations" passed the evaluation of library special work organized by the Provincial Department of Education.
Third, the library service has been continuously deepened. Subject novelty retrieval, document delivery, interlibrary loan, information report, information customization, decision-making consultation, etc. have all been carried out to varying degrees, and the service methods are more flexible and diverse, such as setting up a book return box, making an appointment to borrow, delivering books to the door, user education and training, consulting and reading guidance, document copying, printing, scanning, CD burning, tape transcription and other activities;
Fourth, the academic atmosphere has become increasingly strong and the quality of the team has been continuously improved. Breakthrough progress has been made in the application of scientific research projects, and a number of provincial and university-level key scientific research projects have been obtained. The number of scientific research achievements has increased steadily. In recent years, a textbook has been published publicly, a set of textbook management software has been developed independently, and more than 50 academic papers have been published every year. Business learning has become a common practice.
Fifth, the opening of the museum has achieved initial results. In order to improve the library's document resource guarantee level, the library applied to join the "China Higher Education Document Guarantee System", signed inter-library loan and document delivery agreements with China Science and Technology Information Center, Wuhan University Library and Huazhong University of Science and Technology Library, and carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of group procurement and information service. In order to better serve the local economic and cultural construction, the library actively tries to apply for library cards for some social readers free of charge, which has been widely welcomed by users. Sixth, the party's leadership has been continuously strengthened and improved. Over the past few years, under the unified leadership of the Party Committee and the administration of the school, the General Party Branch of the Library has paid close attention to the political, ideological, work style and organizational construction of the leading group of the library, actively participated in the decision-making activities of the library, and given full play to its political core role, which has effectively promoted the reform, construction and development of the library. Under the leadership of the general party branch of the library, the library has won many awards in the literary, sports and learning competitions held by the school. The general party branch of the library and the library have successively won the honorary titles of advanced grass-roots party organizations, advanced trade unions, advanced research units of higher education, advanced collective of comprehensive management of campus, and "women's civilized demonstration post" in Yichang City. The library of Three Gorges University is progressing smoothly towards the goal of "a research-oriented, open and information-based new university library with scientific management, standardized business, complete functions, first-class environment and excellent service".
