Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a national "double-class" construction university, founded in 1956, and is one of the first four Chinese medicine colleges established in New China. Formerly known as Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 1995 was renamed Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
After 65 years of construction and development, it has become a high-level university of traditional Chinese medicine with distinctive characteristics, with Chinese medicine as the main subject and medical and health-related disciplines supporting each other and developing in a coordinated way. It is the first batch of pilot units for doctors and masters in clinical medicine. In 2020, it will become a university jointly established by Sichuan Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education and state administration of traditional chinese medicine.
As of March 2023, the school covers an area of about 1800 mu; There are 19 colleges, 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 8 non-directly affiliated hospitals and 4 directly affiliated hospitals, offering 38 undergraduate majors; There are 3 doctoral degree authorization points in the first-level discipline, 29 doctoral degree authorization points in two disciplines, 8 master degree authorization points in the first-level discipline, 63 master degree authorization points in two disciplines and 3 post-doctoral mobile stations; There are more than 26,000 full-time students, including more than 4,800 graduate students.

There are three postdoctoral mobile stations. National "Double First-class" construction disciplines 1 discipline (Chinese Medicine), 4 national key disciplines (Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Tuina, ENT, TCM Gynecology), 2 Sichuan "Double First-class" construction disciplines (Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine), 44 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, and 2 ESI global top 1% disciplines.
