As an important part of the college entrance examination, art students have been widely concerned by everyone, and the number of applicants is as high as one million every year. They are mainly admitted to universities through art examinations, and the enrollment of art specialty students in some universities is also an important way. However, there are essential differences between art candidates and art specialty students, and they are different in terms of application conditions, examination forms and admission methods.

Art candidates refer to the candidates who apply for art majors, and they need to take the art major exam first, and then take the cultural course exam (college entrance examination). The examination items of art majors include art, music, dance, broadcasting and hosting, performance, photography, choreography (the classification of items will be different in different provinces) and so on. Candidates are only qualified to fill in the relevant art colleges (majors) after obtaining the certificate of examination for art majors.

Art professional examinations are divided into provincial unified examinations and school examinations. All candidates must take the provincial unified examination (unless there is no unified examination), and those who pass the examination can sign up for the school examination. The registration and qualification examination of the provincial unified examination was completed at the end of last year, and the examination was generally held from February 65438 to1October 65438. Registration for school examinations is generally conducted after the end of the unified examination (except for those without unified examination), usually around the Spring Festival.

Compared with ordinary college entrance examination students, art candidates are enrolled in batches and majors (that is, the items of art professional examinations). Batches are generally divided into art undergraduate batches: advance batch, unified examination batch and school examination batch; And art professional batches: unified examination batches and school examination batches are set in turn. Among them, the art undergraduate batch score is not less than 65% of the second line in this province, and the art specialist batch score is not less than 70% of the provincial specialist line. Colleges and universities that enroll students by means of school examination can draw admission scores independently, but generally it will not be lower than the batch scores of art undergraduate courses.

When enrolling students, colleges and universities mainly refer to the scores of professional courses (provincial unified examination or school examination) and cultural courses (college entrance examination). According to the different admission rules, it can be divided into cultural course scores, professional course scores and comprehensive scores. The specific situation needs to refer to the enrollment regulations of this province or the admission regulations of enrollment institutions.

Colleges and universities offering art majors are mainly art colleges, including ordinary colleges and universities offering art majors. Among them, some independent undergraduate art colleges approved by the Ministry of Education (including a few colleges and universities with some art majors as reference) can organize school examinations, and the scores of professional courses in other colleges and universities adopt provincial unified examinations. Art majors include majors set under "Art" in the undergraduate professional catalogue (20 12), majors set under "Art Design" and "Performing Arts" in the specialist professional catalogue (20 15), and some majors such as "National Culture" and "Radio, Film and Television".

The exam will be held on July 23rd, 20 17 and 12 in Tsinghua University campus. Registration for school exams is generally after the end of the unified exam (unless there is no unified exam). Different preferential admission policies are given to candidates who have passed the college art specialty test and obtained the agreement. Under normal circumstances, the score reduction will not be less than 20 points below the final simulated investment line of undergraduate students in the source area. For a small number of candidates with outstanding results in school examinations, the score will not be lower than a line of schools in the source area.

You need to carefully read the enrollment brochure of art specialty students in colleges and universities before choosing.

To sum up, because there are essential differences between art candidates and art specialty students, how to choose still needs to be based on hobbies, artistic expertise, cultural achievements and other comprehensive choices.
