Beijing Information Science and Technology University (hereinafter referred to as "Information Science and Technology University"), located in Beijing, is a key university supported by Beijing, which focuses on engineering and has the coordinated development of six disciplines: engineering, management, science, economics, literature and law. Extended Information School has successively been selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the national "11plan", the first batch of demonstration universities in Beijing to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the first batch of digital campus demonstration schools in Beijing's municipal universities. It is the first member of the "Belt and Road" China-Poland University Alliance.

Founded in 2008, Beijing Information Science and Technology University was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Mechanical Technology under the former Ministry of Machinery and Beijing Institute of Information Engineering under the former Ministry of Electronics. Its school history can be traced back to 1937. On September 20 1 1, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education for the second batch of outstanding engineers' education and training programs.

As of May, 20021year, the school has five campuses, namely Xiaoying, Jianxiangqiao, Qinghe, Jintai Road and Jiuxianqiao, which are located in Haidian District and Chaoyang District respectively, covering an area of 500 mu. There are graduate schools and 18 colleges (departments and centers), offering 43 undergraduate majors, including 14 master's degree authorization points for first-class disciplines, 43 master's degree authorization points in two disciplines, 4 professional master's degree authorization categories and 8 engineering master's degree authorization fields; Full-time teachers 1038, full-time undergraduates 10743, graduate students 1963, international students 144.
