Yibin has a profound cultural heritage, with a history of 2,200 years of city building, 4,000 years of brewing and 3,000 years of tea planting. It is a national historical and cultural city. Celebrities of past dynasties have come forth in large numbers, bringing up countless revolutionary martyrs and literary masters such as Li Shuoxun, Zhao Yiman, Yang Hansheng, Tang Junyi and Yu Zehong, and accumulating rich and colorful culture of the Yangtze River, wine, Miao, Nezha, anti-Japanese war and folk customs.

The development of history
During the Qin Dynasty, the first county-level administrative organization-Mudao County was established in Yibin. Governing Daocheng, namely Yibin City.
In the sixth year of Jianyuan (before 135), Qianwei was a county, and the county was initially established (west of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province). In the first year of Emperor Zhao of the Han Dynasty (86 BC), Qianwei moved Daocheng to be the county magistrate, which belonged to the secretariat department of Yizhou in the Western Han Dynasty. Wang Mang established a "new" dynasty in the first year of the establishment of the new dynasty (9 years). Qianwei County was renamed Xishun County, and Bodao Road was renamed Zhi Bo County. Its county governance and leading counties remained unchanged until the first year (23 years) when it was restarted.
