"Since 2009, the University of California, Irvine has established the International Undergraduate Preparatory Program (IUPP) in its College of Continuing Education. This course aims to help students improve their chances of being admitted to the University of California, Irvine, mainly in the form of language courses, undergraduate courses, intensive preparation courses, cultural guidance and personalized suggestions.
There are two courses for international undergraduate preparatory courses, which are aimed at freshmen and transfer students respectively, namely:
Freshman admission: lasting 9~ 12 months. Students usually have to take 1~2 semesters 10 weeks of language intensive courses, as well as two semesters of undergraduate academic courses and other courses set by the project. Throughout the project, the school will provide each student with an academic consultant to help them make plans for their study courses together. Applicants need to choose one of the following three project directions:
General track: mainly for students with undetermined undergraduate majors, the fund certification fee is $64,200 (12 months).
Duration of 9 months: TOEFL score is above 75, IELTS score is above 6.0, such as SAT reading 540, math 600 and writing 540, and there is no need to submit language test scores. The program started in the fall semester and the tuition fee was $35,000. You can choose to pay a certain fee and continue your studies in the fourth semester.
Duration: 12+ month: TOEFL score is above 7 1, and IELTS score is above 6.0. The program started in the summer semester, and the tuition fee is $40,800+
Specialist track: mainly for undergraduate students who have decided to apply for the program. Such as biological science, business economics, computer science, engineering, social science and physical science, including mathematics/mathematical finance, the capital certification fee is $76,000 (12 months).
Admission in winter, spring and summer: TOEFL score is 7 1, and IELTS score is above 6.0.
Admission in autumn: TOEFL score above 75 and IELTS score above 6.0, such as SAT reading score 540, mathematics score 600 and writing score 540. No language test scores are required.
Fundamentals Track: 6 months, as the admission direction of general courses and professional courses, including two semesters of 65,438+00 weeks of language intensive courses and language test preparation courses. The TOEFL score is 65, the IELTS score is 5.5, the tuition fee is $65,438+$065,438+$0,600, and the fund certificate is $23,500 (6 months).
Transfer Admission: Students studying in California Community College want to transfer to the University of California, Irvine or other American universities, and attend classes twice a year, in March and September respectively.
