China Youshi University (East China) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, the first batch of world-class discipline construction universities in China, a member of the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" key construction universities, and a high-quality resource and high-level industry-specific university alliance.
The school has successively been selected into the national "11/plan", the excellent engineer education and training plan, the national graduate program for building high-level universities, the national innovation experiment plan for college students, the national innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students, the new engineering research and practice project, the national universities with typical experience in graduate employment, and the national demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.
The school is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, five major energy enterprise groups, the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is an important base for cultivating high-level talents in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. Known as the "cradle of petroleum science and technology talents", it has become a university with distinctive characteristics of petroleum and petrochemical industry and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. There are graduate schools and national university science parks.
The school was founded in 1953, confirmed as a national key university in 1960, and renamed as Petroleum University in 1988, gradually forming a pattern of running schools in Shandong and Beijing. /kloc-0 officially entered the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" in 1997. In June 2005, the school was renamed China Youshi University.
As of July, 20 19, the school has two campuses, Qingdao and Dongying, with a total campus area of 4,774 mu and a building area of10.25 million square meters, and the library has 2.84 million books. There are 19 colleges (departments); Post-Doctoral Research Center 1 1 each, first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees 14, three first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees in two disciplines, two first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 32 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees, two first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees in two disciplines, one first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees 15 and 68 undergraduate majors.
