Dongchang College Library of Liaocheng University
Dongchang College Library of Liaocheng University was founded in September 2002, and merged with Liaocheng Education College Library and Liaocheng Normal College Library in August 2005. The library has a building area of 2,204 square meters, more than 230,000 paper books (more than 45,000 kinds) and more than 400 kinds of newspapers (33 kinds). The library has a special line connecting Liaocheng University Library, and readers of our college can enjoy all kinds of electronic resources of Liaocheng University Library.

The library consists of four departments: reader service department, editorial department, distribution department and reading department. There are service windows such as comprehensive stacks, special stacks, newspaper reading rooms and back issue rooms. There are 25 employees, including 6 senior titles, 6 intermediate titles +0 1 and 6 junior titles. Postgraduates 1, undergraduates 13, and 7 college graduates. As the library of Dongchang College of Liaocheng University is jointly built by three libraries, Liaocheng Education College and Liaocheng Normal School were formerly known as Shandong Third Normal School and Liaocheng Normal College. They are a century-old famous school in Liaocheng, with a large number of precious ancient books. Dongchang College Library of Liaocheng University has inherited the cultural assets of a century-old famous school, and the collection of ancient books is a major feature of the library. Collection of ancient books 1340 volumes, including 6 books bound by thread in Ming edition and 1334 books bound by thread in Qing edition. In addition, there were 1028 online books in the Republic of China edition, and there were 670 online books after 1949.

The library attaches great importance to the protection of ancient books. It classified and catalogued its ancient books according to the requirements of ancient books cataloging, and sent them to Shandong Ancient Books Protection Center and National Ancient Books Information Platform. Among them, five ancient books were evaluated as precious ancient books in Shandong Province by Shandong Ancient Books Protection Center, and approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government, and included in the list of precious ancient books in Shandong Province. In 2008, it was rated as "Advanced Unit of Ancient Books Protection" by the Ancient Books Department of the Provincial Library and "Advanced Unit of Ancient Books Protection in Shandong Province" by the Provincial Department of Culture in 20 12.
