Shanghai Jianqiao College, referred to as "Jianqiao" for short, is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, on the coast of the East China Sea and by the beautiful Dishui Lake. It is a public full-time private college with undergraduate education as its main purpose, which trains front-line applied talents in production, construction, management and service. It is a member of the National Universities of Applied Sciences Alliance of the Ministry of Education and the Alliance of Non-profit Private Universities of the Ministry of Education. At the same time, it is the first private university in Shanghai supported by the National Natural Science Foundation Project, the Humanities and Social Sciences Project of the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Project.

The school was founded by a group of Wenzhou entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic about public welfare education, such as Mr. Zhou Xingzeng. It was formally established in April 2000 and approved as Shanghai Jianqiao Vocational and Technical College in April 2006 by 5438+0. In September, 2005, it became a full-time ordinary college with undergraduate education as the main part, and was renamed as "Shanghai Jianqiao College". In September 2006, the first batch of undergraduates reported for admission.

On July 20 10, the school was added as a bachelor's degree awarding unit. 2065438+February 2005, the school won the title of "National Civilized Unit". In the autumn of 20 15, the school moved from Kangqiao in Pudong to Lingang in Pudong. 20 17 May, the school was selected as the "Project Construction Unit of Newly Added Master Degree Awarding Unit in Shanghai".
