Southwest University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education. Built by the national "2 1 1 project" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform", it is located in Beibei District, Chongqing.

The school is located at the foot of Jinyun Mountain, a national scenic spot, by the beautiful Jialing River.
