1. Since its establishment, the Institute has been highly valued by the Party committee and government of the autonomous region. Ma Qizhi, former chairman of the government of the autonomous region, and Xiang Zongxi, chairman of the autonomous region, successively served as honorary chairmen. A group of senior experts and intellectuals served as honorary presidents and consultants. The Society has 3 12 members, all over Yinchuan and all cities and counties in the region. There are five members in the group: Ningxia University for the Aged, Ningxia Medical College, Pingluo Poetry Society, Zhongning Poetry Society and Xixia Poetry Society. Qin Zhongyin, the current chairman, is the executive director of the Chinese Poetry Society and the vice president of the global Chinese Poetry Society.

2. Since its establishment, under the care of the Party committee and government of the autonomous region, under the guidance of competent units such as Ningxia Social Science Federation and Ningxia Newspaper Group, and with the support of all walks of life, the Society has played an active role in carrying forward the advanced culture of the motherland, cultivating poetry teams, prospering poetry creation, carrying out research on poetry theory, promoting cultural exchanges inside and outside the region, and promoting the construction of a harmonious socialist society. It has become one of the active social sports organizations in our region and even the whole country, and was once rated as Ningxia Social Science Federation.
