California institute of the arts (cca) is an art and design college located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. Founded by the artist and designer Frederick Meyer in 1907, it has a long history of more than 1 10 years.
It is a college specially designed for the education of "artists and designers", with the central concept of "paying equal attention to theory and practice" and lasting for more than 100 years. The school was founded in 1936, formerly known as California Institute of Arts and Crafts (CCAC), and renamed california institute of the arts (CCA) in 2003.

Mascot: The mascot of cca is Chimera, also known as Kamara, a fire-breathing monster with a lion's head, a sheep's body and a snake's tail in Greek mythology. The mascot has no specific design, so the school holds a mascot design competition every year, and the public votes to choose the winner. The most popular design will be printed on the T-shirts of that year's school.
