Air Force Aviation University, located in Changchun, the northern spring city, is the cradle of training air force pilots. The predecessor of the university was 1946, the first aviation school founded by our party and army-the Northeast Democratic Coalition Aviation School, that is, the "Northeast Old Aviation School".
According to the order of the Central Military Commission, on June 9, 2004, the former Air Force Second Aviation Academy, Changchun Flying Academy and the Seventh Flying Academy merged to form the Deputy Military Academy. After more than 60 years of construction and development, * * * has trained more than 6.5438+0.4 million talents for the country, of which nearly 300 graduates have grown into leading cadres at or above the corps level.
The school has been listed as a key construction institution under the overall conditions of the "2 1 10 Project" of the army, and has been granted the right to confer master's degrees, established a postdoctoral research center, and won a series of national excellent courses, teaching achievements and scientific and technological progress awards.

The school has two major disciplines: military science and engineering, aviation flight and command, aircraft and engines, aviation ordnance, aviation fire control system, aviation electrical and instrumentation, aviation communication and navigation, aviation radar, avionics countermeasures, aviation reconnaissance equipment, reconnaissance image processing, reconnaissance image interpretation and military simulation engineering, aviation lifesaving, aviation military training, etc.
It has formed three teaching modes: basic education, professional education and flight training. Its discipline and specialty setting has two outstanding features:
First, it is comprehensive, and the aviation maintenance major covers a variety of aircraft types in active service of the Air Force;
Second, it is unique. The seven majors of aviation flight and command, flight command and control, military intelligence, simulation engineering, photogrammetry and remote sensing, aviation reconnaissance equipment and aviation lifesaving are unique to the whole army or air force academies.
