Fengjie Middle School, formerly known as Kuizhou Middle School, was founded in 1903. It is the first new-style government middle school in the east of Xia Chuan, enrolling students in six surrounding counties. 1939 has been designated as one of the ten demonstration schools by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. Marshal Liu Bocheng of 1906 and Academician Wen Shizhu of 1944 are studying in our school. At present, it is a key middle school in Chongqing, a cooperative school of Huanggang Middle School, a famous school in China, a distance education demonstration school attached to Peking University, and a basic school for poverty alleviation through postgraduate distance education in Tsinghua University.

Fengjie middle school has a glorious tradition of unity and hard work, and has the characteristics of rigorous and open running. Since the resumption of college entrance examination, 10000 freshmen have been sent to institutions of higher learning. Groups of outstanding students have successively entered famous universities in China, such as Peking University and Tsinghua, or gone abroad for further study, and hundreds of students have obtained master's and doctor's degrees.
